2020 Fall Mini Sessions

September 24, 2020

Filed in: Portraits

It’s the moooost photographed tiiiime of the year…

Fall Mini Sessions are here!

New addition to the family? (yes, puppies count)
Kids growing faster than a weed and want to stop time for a second?
Mommy got a cute new dress she wants to show off?
Or maybe you just need a new photo for those Holiday cards. Whatever the reason, my fall mini sessions are a great way to get some nice family photos made in a short timeframe at an affordable price, helping to avoid the toddler (or husband) melt down.

What you get.

We’ll head to an awesome location (see below), take some photos, and hopefully have some fun. I’ll pick the best ones and edit them all, ensuring you and your photos look their best!

  • 20 minute session.
  • 15+ edited images in full resolution.
  • Print release.

All for $175. Due at the time of the session.

When you get it.

I’m doing 8 days of sessions this year, all at different locations. Pick the location you like, or the date that works for you!

  • Saturday, October 10, evening: Desert Botanical Garden. Beautiful landscaped desert trails, with fun benches and amazing light. The perfection of this place isn’t free, however. A $25/person admission fee applies.
  • Sunday, October 18, morning: DC Ranch. Market street offers a fun chic “urban” vibe, with a green park, some desert landscaping, and cool walls.
  • Sunday, October 18, evening: Apache Wash Trailhead. Desert trail in North Phoenix.
  • Saturday, November 7, morning: Heritage Square Downtown Phoenix. MY FAVORITE! Cute benches, buildings, and colors with midwest-style trees. Tons of varying backgrounds with very little walking.
  • Saturday, November 7, evening: ASU Old Main. Lots of brick, some steps, cute benches, green grass, fun trees, a fountain, and climbing ivy.
  • Sunday, November 8, morning – afternoon: Pioneer Living History Museum. Incredible town from the 1800’s with historic brick, wood, and colorful buildings. An old white chapel with iconic picket fence. Perfect little desert area as well. TONS of options for great backdrops! A museum entrance fee of $10/adult and $8/kid ages 5-12 applies, but you can check out the rest of the museum while you’re there! It’s tons of fun!
  • Wednesday, November 11 (Veteran’s day), evening: McCormick Stillman Railroad Park. Adorable carousel with perfect lights, grass, trees, railroad, brick train station. And, of course, ice cream to bribe the kids! Doing these here in the middle of the week should help limit the number of other people around.
  • Sunday, December 6, evening: Lost Dutchman State Park. Quick turnaround on these, I promise! Desert trails with those amazing Superstition Mountains in the background. A $10 per vehicle admission fee applies.

Maybe none of those dates work, or maybe you have another location in mind. Whatever the reason, feel free to reach out and schedule your own session on your own terms. I offer hour long sessions at a location of your choice for $300, or a 20 minute mini session at a different date/location than those listed above for $200. My only availability for these will be during the week.

Some of my other favorite locations for longer sessions:

– Your back (or front) yard!
– Boyce Thompson Arboretum (with that adorable greenhouse)
– Scorpion Gulch at South Mountain
– Manistee Ranch Park or Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale
– Scorpion Gulch at South Mountain
– Gilbert Riparian Preserve
– Salt River (great views of the river, mountain bluffs, and cacti)
– Mesa Arts Center (urban vibe with colors)
– Roosevelt Row (VERY urban vibe and tons of fun!)
– Scottsdale Civic Center Mall / Old Town (green…often lots of people)
