Will and McKensey are married! They had a beautiful wedding at The Gadsden House in downtown Charleston, on a record breaking warm day! Let’s be honest, 80 degrees in the middle of December is just wonderful. To have Christmas trees abound our surroundings felt surreal, but brought me back to my Phoenix days! I felt at home and in my element. McKensey looked absolutely stunning (Will wasn’t so bad himself), with the help of Dolled Up Charleston. The details were personal and delicate, and the setting was unparalleled. Festoon Charleston created their beautiful florals, which I could have taken pictures of for hours.
After getting ready at The Gadsden House, the LowCountry Trolley took us to The First Baptist Church of Charleston, where their elegant, simple, and meaningful ceremony took place. The church was full of all their family and friends; the energy of love, joy, and warmth was hard to miss. These two are surrounded by so much love!
Back at The Gadsden House, cocktail hour got underway with appetizers, drinks, and mingling under the twinkle lights and stars. ELM Events and EventHaus Rentals did a fantastic job of putting everything together, making everything beautiful, easy, and fun! Simple dinner stations served as a great way to eat when you’re hungry, continue mingling, and even step on the dance floor. SPEAKING OF DANCING – nothing beats having a live band, and they had one of the best! Fantasy Band rocked the house and got everyone on their feet.
This wedding was a perfect way to end my year, making me even more excited about what’s to come in 2022, here in my new city of Charleston!
