John and Renee are married! They had an absolutely perfect wedding day up at Desert Foothills in North Scottsdale. Their ceremony out front of the big red barn was simple, yet sweet, and full of love, laughter, and tears. They sealed letters and locked them in with a bottle of wine, to be opened when times get tough or at their 5 year anniversary. I loved this idea! After the ceremony, guests were treated to a huge charcuterie smorgasbord, cocktails, and some beer served by my favorite four legged friend – the Beer Burro. After a few photos, the doors to the barn opened, and guests found their way to their seats inside the barn, among the twinkle lights and incredible floral arrangements! A delicious BBQ dinner followed, and just as everyone was finishing up, the toasts started. They all had just the right amount of roasting, toasting, and loving. After a little (or a lot o’) cake, it was finally, it was time to party! A live band brought the dancing into the night, while a lovely bonfire and s’mores amongst the night time desert sky and lights served as a break whenever someone needed one. I adore this couple, their love for one another, and their incredible family and friends. I was inspired and honored to photograph their day! Here’s a peek:
