There’s something magical about the northern Minnesota city of Ely (a place I clearly need to visit more often). The beauty of the surroundings inspire me, and the laid back atmosphere makes me feel at ease. The people are friendly and thrilled to be spending time at the Lake while it’s not frozen. But there’s more to it still, which is no doubt why Sarah and Phil decided to celebrate their love there. It evokes love. I am so glad I was able to help document this fantastic day. Following their ceremony at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church downtown Ely, guests were transported to a magnificent vacation rental out on White Iron Lake. The gourmet dinner was held on tables covered by white linen, wine, and beautiful floral centerpieces, behind the picture window, in front of the fireplace. Toasts brought laughter and tears just as they should, and meaningful songs were used to dance to. Their wedding was perfectly Ely – beautiful, laid back, and fun, showing love at it’s best.
